About Camila
Camila Zavala is a Peruvian playwright, actress, screenwriter, producer, and director based in Los Angeles. She holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University and a BA in Theater Arts and Communications. She is an alumna of the Sundance Creative Producing Lab and the Film Independent Producing Lab in the United States, as well as the Coofilm Residency for Female Filmmakers in Spain. Her work has screened at Telluride, Tribeca, Palm Springs, and numerous international film festivals. She is the CEO and Founder of PLAY STORY STUDIO®.
Camila is currently in post-production on her debut feature film as a writer-director, Dime Cuánto Me Quieres, winner of the 2023 Peruvian National Production Film Fund and PROYECTA, the co-production forum jointly organized by Ventana Sur, the Marché du Film, and the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
In addition to her work in film, Camila has over twelve years of entrepreneurial experience, helping companies craft compelling, story-driven content aligned with their brands. She has created projects for Samsung, Movistar, Claro, Intel, Sura, Cadbury, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, among others.
